An aircraft is one part of the arrangement. Lauren considers the departure airport, the onward drive, the luggage and the hour you want to arrive. The result is a trip planned from your front door, not just the runway.

Day 1
John Wayne to Jackson Hole
Depart mid-morning from the FBO. A midsize jet, two hours to Jackson Hole, whose runway sits inside Grand Teton National Park. A car meets the aircraft on the apron and the ranch is thirty minutes north.
Days 2 to 3
The Tetons
Two full days. A private float on the Snake River at first light, when the moose are in the willows. Lunch packed by the ranch kitchen. A guide who knows which pullouts the tour buses skip.
Day 4
Forty minutes to Sun Valley
Landing at Friedman Memorial in Hailey, where the aircraft waits for the stay. Afternoon on the Big Wood River with a fly rod, and dinner in Ketchum at a table by the wood oven.
Day 5
A day with no plan
The aspens along Trail Creek are usually turning by the last week of September. A horse is arranged if you want one, and a masseuse at the house at four if you do not.
Day 6
Home before dinner
A late departure so the morning is yours. Wheels up from Hailey after lunch, home at John Wayne before dinner. Bags go from the house to the aircraft to the car without being opened.

01The aircraft positioned the night before departure, so the morning leg does not wait on someone else's delay.
02The airport chosen by drive time to the house. Often a smaller field twenty minutes closer, where the runway allows it.
03Catering ordered from a restaurant Lauren would eat at, plated for the cabin, with the wine you drink at home.
04Customs cleared on the aircraft where the field allows it, cars on the apron at both ends, luggage never touched.
05Aircraft matched to the mission: a turboprop for a short strip, a long-range cabin for a single nonstop to Asia.

Routing, aircraft availability and operating conditions determine the final proposal. Charter services are arranged with the relevant operators.

A note from Lauren

I ask three things before I quote an aircraft. Where are you sleeping the night before, how many bags, and whether anyone minds a turboprop. The answers usually decide the airport, and the airport decides everything else. I would rather you land at a small field and be at the house in fifteen minutes than taxi past a terminal for the sake of a bigger cabin. Tell me about the dog, too. It changes the aircraft.
